Playing Loodie

How do I learn?

Open Learn to play from the home screen. The short guide leads into a practice table. During a game, use Rules for the rules of that table. Practice does not replace your saved local game.

How do the two dice work?

A six releases one piece. Double six can release two pieces. You can use the dice on separate pieces or move the same piece twice, subject to legal moves and capture rules. A joined pair can move together on doubles by one die’s value. A throw containing a six earns another throw; other doubles do not.

Can I move again after a capture?

The piece that captured stops for the rest of that throw. Use any remaining die on another eligible piece. The legal-move cards show what is available.

What does a block mean?

Two of your same-color pieces together make a block. Opponents cannot pass it. A matching pair can land on and capture an opposing pair when that table’s pair-capture option allows it. Two pieces are the maximum on one active space. Check the table rules for selected options.

Can one person play two homes?

Yes. Start a two-person table and enable Two homes each. Each person controls two opposite colors, and each color has its own turn.

Do I have to flick the dice?

No. The Roll button is always an alternative. Loodie also supports an overhead 2D board, larger system text and Reduce Motion. Sound, music and haptics have separate preferences in Settings.

Saved games

How do I continue a local game?

Loodie saves a local game as you play. Choose Continue from the home screen. Starting another local game replaces that saved table. Practice uses separate temporary storage.

What happens if I delete the app?

Removing the app can remove its local games and preferences. Device backups follow your Apple settings. An online match or a previously sent Messages game is separate from the local saved table.

Playing through Apple services

What do I need for Game Center?

Online play needs internet access, Game Center sign-in, and compatible versions of Loodie for each player. Select the same player count and two-home setting when finding a table. If a turn cannot upload, reconnect and use the app’s retry or refresh controls before making another move.

Apple operates Game Center. We do not run a separate Loodie matchmaking or gameplay server.

How do Messages games work?

Open Loodie in a Messages conversation, create or join a table, then prepare its message. Review the composer and press Apple’s Send button yourself. Open the newest game message to continue. Everyone needs Loodie and a compatible Messages device. Game Center and Messages tables are separate.

What should I include in a bug report?

Tell us what you expected, what happened, and how to repeat it. In Loodie, open Settings → Report a bug to prepare a report with app and iOS versions. Review it before sending. Please avoid including passwords, private conversations, or other people’s personal information.
