Local games and preferences are stored on your device. Online games share selected player details and game state through Apple. Loodie has no advertising or in-app analytics SDK, and we do not operate a separate gameplay-data server.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers the Loodie iPhone and iPad app, its Messages extension, this Loodie website, and support provided by Jim Does It. Contact us at support@jimdoes.it about privacy questions or requests.
Local games and preferences
The app saves names you enter, chosen pieces, game rules, dice, turns, board positions and results in its local storage. It also remembers preferences such as appearance, board view, sound, music and haptics. Local games do not require a Loodie account. Tutorial practice is temporary and does not replace the saved local game.
Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your Apple settings. Removing the app can remove local app data; backups are managed separately by Apple.
Game Center games
If you choose online play, Apple Game Center provides authentication, matchmaking and match storage. Loodie uses your Game Center display name and scoped player identifier to identify your seat and whose turn it is. Shared match data includes player names, random game-player identifiers, selected pieces, rules, board positions, dice, turns and results.
Apple stores and exchanges this match data with the participants. The app may keep a pending turn locally so it can retry an interrupted save. Leaving a match is not a promise to erase its records from Apple’s services or from another participant’s device.
Messages games
A game message includes names chosen by players, app-generated seat identifiers and the game state, plus a board image and caption. Loodie prepares a draft only when you choose that action; you decide whether to send it using Messages. Other members of the conversation can receive and view what you send.
The extension keeps local draft and recent-game information to restore unfinished turns and detect older or conflicting boards. It does not read your surrounding ordinary text messages or your contacts’ phone numbers or email addresses. Message retention and deletion also depend on Apple’s services and recipients’ copies.
Support you choose to send
If you send us an email or bug report, we receive your message, sender details and any information you include. The app’s optional report can include an issue description, severity, reply email, app version/build and iOS version. You can review the report before sending it.
We use support correspondence to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue. We keep it as needed for those purposes and any applicable recordkeeping requirements. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us. We cannot delete copies retained by other message recipients or independently control Apple’s records.
No advertising or in-app tracking
Loodie does not include advertising, analytics, attribution or automatic crash-reporting SDKs. It does not sell personal information or use it for cross-company tracking. The 3D board does not scan your room, and bundled game audio does not record your microphone.
This website and optional analytics
This website is separate from the app. Hosting and security providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect web requests, such as IP address and requested pages.
Optional Google Analytics loads only if you select Allow analytics. It measures visits to public Loodie pages using cookies and technical information such as browser and device characteristics. We send only an approved public page address, without its query string or fragment, and a page title. We do not send player names, game state, support text, email addresses or other form contents. Advertising features are disabled.
Choose Only necessary to keep optional analytics off. Use at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing permission stops this site’s optional collection and removes its own analytics cookies; the page may reload to complete the change. Withdrawal does not erase events already processed by Google. Your choice is stored locally in this browser. If the browser prevents preference storage, analytics stays off.
Google’s processing is described in Google’s privacy policy. We do not load third-party fonts, videos or social embeds on this site.
Apple services and your choices
Apple services and device backups follow your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy. You may use local play without signing in to Game Center, choose a nickname for shared games, and decide what to include in support requests. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information into player names or game messages.
